The present invention relates to the use of (meth)acrylic comb copolymers having side branchings of hydroxy or alkoxy polyalkylene glycol type, in which ethylene oxide and propylene oxide chain members are present at the same time. The latter give the shampoos in which they are incorporated a styling effect and a removal on rinsing that are more pronounced than for the comb polymers of the prior art, manufactured from (meth)acrylic acid and side groups of hydroxy or methoxy polyethylene glycol (MPEG) type. The invention also consists of a cosmetic formulation containing such structures, and also a method for treating the hair using this formulation.
