A silage withdrawal gripper (100) comprises:a main frame (110), adapted for coupling to a lifting arm of a lifting trucka silage carrier (120) hinged to the main frame (110)at least one controllable carrier actuator (125) for controlling the hinge position of the silage carrier (120) with respect to the main frame (110)a hingeable holder (140) adapted to cooperate with the silage carrier (120) for gripping and holding silagewherein the holder (140) is hinged (146) to the main frame (110), at a position above the hinge axis (124) of the silage carrier (120)and wherein the silage withdrawal gripper (100) further comprises at least one controllable holder actuator (125) for controlling the hinge position of the holder (140) with respect to the main frame (110).
