One embodiment of the present invention provides a waist protector and a method of using the same. The waist protector comprises a waist support part, outer waist belts, inner waist belts, and shaping support bodies. The waist support part has an inner surface that supports a back waist portion of a user and support body insertion space parts are formed on an outer surface of the waist support part. The outer waist belts are formed as a pair respectively connected to two sides of the waist support part and end portions of the outer waist belts are provided with a detachable first combination member respectively. The inner waist belts are provided on the inner side of the outer waist belts and formed as a pair respectively connected to two sides of the waist support part, and end portions of the inner waist belts are provided with a detachable second combination member respectively. The shaping support bodies are inserted in the support body insertion space parts for supporting a user's waist.
