The invention relates to a process for producing magnesium and/or calcium-enriched drinking water based beverage, comprising: preparing a concentrated aqueous solution of magnesium and/or calcium bicarbonate by, a) providing a powder of magnesium and/or calcium compound in a reactor (4)； b) adding an aqueous liquid in said reactor； and c) injecting carbon dioxide (CO2) into said reactor； adding at least part of the concentrated aqueous solution of magnesium and/or calcium bicarbonate into a flowing circuit comprising an aqueous liquid. The invention also relates to the associated manufacturing apparatus comprising a reactor.
