PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of efficiently obtaining an image of high image quality independently of the skill of a user even if pre-saturation is applied to a plurality of different sections.SOLUTION: In imaging with application of pre-saturation to a plurality of different sections at the same time (multi-section simultaneous excitation pre-saturation) using a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus, according to the imaging conditions, calculation information required for positioning the pre-saturation is held, and an application region of the pre-saturation is automatically calculated and set. In calculation, the imaging conditions set by a user and the calculation information are used. In deciding the application region, a positioning image is not used.
