PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthopedic prosthesis for cementless fixation.SOLUTION: An orthopedic prosthesis comprises a first component comprising a solid metal portion 24 and a porous metal portion 86. The solid metal portion defines: a tapered internal wall 70 extending from a second solid metal surface 28 toward a first solid metal surface 26 and having an end at a level therebetween an internal chamfered chamber 72 and an opening 74. The porous metal portion 86 includes a peg 34A having a head 76, a shaft 78, and a tapered wall 84. A portion of the peg extends outward through the opening in the second solid metal surface. The solid metal portion extends from the first solid metal surface to the head of the peg, and covers the head of the peg.
