PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect pest controlling aerosol composition which can exhibit a sufficient insect pest controlling effect with the use of a component in consideration of flammability accidents and the cost and a method of controlling insect pests using such an insect pest controlling aerosol composition.
SOLUTION: The pest insect controlling aerosol composition contains an insect pest controlling agent and a liquefied petroleum gas and the volume ratio of the volume of an agent containing the insect pest controlling agent to the volume of the liquefied petroleum gas [(volume of the agent)/(volume of the liquefied petroleum gas)] is 70/230 to 0.001/299.999.
