PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of accurately and quantitatively acquiring body information related to a profile of a body.SOLUTION: A body information acquisition apparatus includes: a body shape acquisition part that acquires body shape data obtained by measuring a body of an object person, and representing a three-dimensional shape of a profile of the body including at least a trunk part； a projection image generation part that, when a Z axis is placed in the longitudinal direction of the body, an X axis, in the horizontal direction, and a Y axis in the vertical direction, as a three-dimensional coordinate system of the body shape data, generates a parallel projection image obtained by parallel-projecting the three-dimensional shape of the body of the object person represented by the body shape data, to a predetermined projection surface parallel to the Y axis； a position setup part that sets one or more specific Y positions of which body information should be acquired, to the body shape information； and a body information acquisition part that acquires the length of the parallel projection image in a direction orthogonal to the Y axis at the set specific Y position, as one of body information of the object person.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
