A method for guiding a plant root to extend downwardly and extensively and capable of preventing wind and rain is disclosed. A tree root channel, which is dug on a loess layer or a land in a desert before an orange or apple tree is planted, is utilized for the growth of tree root, capable of providing an effect of guiding the tree root to grow. The tree root channel is substantially provided with a top-down part and an oblique part that is extended to one side as the top-down part is formed at a certain depth. A fertile soil such as black earth or a soil permeated with nutrients is filled in the tree root channel. As the tree is planted into the fertile soil filled in the tree root channel, a part of the tree roots can grow naturally and habitually into a nearby shallow soil layer for water and nutrients uptake therein, and the main tree root can grow in and along the fertile soil filled in the tree root channel according to the property of tree root growth direction toward the fertile soil enriched with water and nutrients and can downwardly and obliquely grow along the tree root channel for obtaining a stable foundation. Besides, for increasing tree leaves to obtain a preferred photosynthesis and making the trunk of a tree short and thick to prevent toppling caused by blowing of strong wind or typhoons, the trunk of the tree is truncated and the upward growth height of the tree is limited and controlled during the growing process, and a tree with a thick truck can be obtained by allowing the trunk of the tree to bilaterally grow.
