The present invention relates to compounds of formula(I) herein, which includes barettin and derivatives thereof, or any pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for use as a medicament. Further the present invention relates to same compounds for use in the treatment of diseases related to oxidative stress and the treatment of inflammatory diseases. Still another aspect of the present invention is the use of barettin and derivatives thereof for the cosmetic treatment of skin aging. Yet another aspect is the use of the compound of formula (I) or any pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in a solution for the preservation and/or washing of organs. A final aspect of the present invention is the use of barettin and derivatives thereof as a food and/or feed additive.La présente invention concerne des composés de formule (I), comprenant la barettine et des dérivés de celle-ci, ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celle-ci pour utilisation en tant que médicament. La présente invention concerne en outre les mêmes composés pour utilisation dans le traitement de maladies associées au stress oxydatif et le traitement de maladies inflammatoires. Un autre aspect supplémentaire de la présente invention est l'utilisation de barettine et de dérivés de celle-ci pour le traitement cosmétique du vieillissement de la peau. Un autre aspect supplémentaire est l'utilisation du composé de formule (I) ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable quelconque de celui-ci dans une solution pour la conservation et/ou le lavage d'organes.
