PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head swinging structure, dispensing with a connecting wire and readily connected to a short tubular body, and also to provide an endoscope using this structure.SOLUTION: A plurality of short tubular bodies 10, 10, ... are lengthwise inserted through two parallel arranged wires W, W. Among the plurality of the tubular bodies, only end ones are fixed to the wires W. A bite structure having a convex 12 or concave 13 mutually engaged with each other is formed in two adjacent, mutually facing end faces 11a, 11b. With the backward movement of the short tubular body of the end of line controlled, the two wires W, W are pulled backward to the extent that the mutual engagement of these two mutually adjacent engaging short tubular bodies can be maintained. While they are kept to be pulled backward, one of the two wires W, W is reeled in while the other is reeled out, to mutually incline their short tubular body central axes alternately, whereby the whole of these plural short tubular bodies 10, 10, ... is made to perform head swinging.
