An electronic vapour provision system comprising an electrical heater 310 for vapourising a liquid to form an aerosol for inhalation by a user of the electronic vapour provision system; and a communications interface 55 for providing wireless communications; wherein the communications interface is configured to use the heater 310 as an antenna for the wireless communications. The communications interface is preferably Bluetooth (RTM) or Near Field Communications (NFC). The electronic vapour provision system (e-cigarette) may comprise a first portion 20 with metallic housing 202 that may include a power supply 54, and a second portion 30 with non-metallic housing 302 that may include a liquid reservoir; the first and second portions may be separable. Signals for the wireless communications may be superimposed onto the power line connection from the power supply to the heater. The electronic vapour provision system may include a controller 50, preferably the controller and communications interface are integrated into a single chip. Preferably the system is configured to prevent wireless communications when the heater is operating to vaporize a liquid to form an aerosol for inhalation. The heater is preferably a substantially planar sheet of metal, more preferably a sintered metal fibre material.
