PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the remaining of acidity of malic acid (astringent taste being aftertaste) caused when the addition of malic acid in a beverage composition is increased.SOLUTION: In the beverage composition that contains at least 200 mg of malic acid per 100 ml, at least one kind of a component selected from the group consisting of L-carnitine, the salt of L-carnitine, and L-citrulline is combined further, and thereby the astringent taste of aftertaste that originates in malic acid can be controlled.
