The present invention relates to a composition comprising manassantin A or manassantin B for preventing or treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The composition comprising manassantin A or manassantin B for preventing or treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease of the present invention does not have various side effects induced by conventional synthetic drug compositions such as cardiovascular effects, central effects, hepatic damage, and kidney disease, while having the effects of reducing infections induced by non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, suppressing the progression and metastasis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, suppressing hepatic fat accumulation, anti-apoptosis, and promoting autophagy activation.
