PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing water absorbent which can keep a shape even when being swelled by absorbing water, is excellent in a water absorbing ratio and a water absorbing speed while being compressed, and in which regeneration of fine powders is few even though an external force such as a mechanical impact or a friction acts on the same and a method for producing a water absorbent excellent in a water absorbing speed in a wide applications.SOLUTION: The method for producing the granular waterabsorbent comprising a water absorbable resin granulated matter obtained by mixing a polyacrylic acid (polyacrylate) base water absorbable resin powder and an aqueous solution to form a granular coagulated matter and driving the granular coagulated matter, is characterized by mixing 10 to 200 pts.wt. of a reactive particle selected from a polymer powder having a functional group capable of reacting with a carboxyl group or an inorganic powder and 30 to 300 pts.wt. of the aqueous solution based on 100 pts.wt. of the water absorbable resin powder and drying the same at 110 to 250°C after mixing.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】吸水膨潤時であっても形状を保持し、加圧下吸水倍率や吸水速度に優れ、機械的な衝撃や摩擦等の外力が加わっても微粉末の再生が少ない吸水剤の製造方法、更に、幅広い用途で吸水速度に優れる吸水剤の製造方法を提供することである。【解決手段】ポリアクリル酸(塩)系吸水性樹脂粉末及び水性液とを混合して粒子状凝集物とし、当該粒子状凝集物を乾燥して得られる吸水性樹脂造粒物からなる粒子状吸水剤の製造方法であって、上記吸水性樹脂粉末100重量部に対して、カルボキシル基と反応しうる官能基を有する高分子粉末又は無機粉末から選ばれる反応性粒子10~200重量部と水性液30~300重量部とを混合し、かつ、混合後に110~250℃で乾燥することを特徴とする、粒子状吸水剤の製造方法。【選択図】なし
