The device has a gripping unit for gripping the device by a user, and an injection needle. A retaining unit (102) retains the implant in upstream of the needle. An injection unit injects the implant during withdrawal of the needle. A protection unit i.e. protective sleeve, achieves an injection position to uncover the needle and a safety position to cover the needle after the utilization of the device. A return unit i.e. compression spring, drives the protection sleeve until the safety position, where the movement of the return unit is controlled by the user.
