PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of reducing a friction resistance between a guide tube and an operation wire so that it can perform a smooth operation.SOLUTION: An endoscope comprises: an operation unit and a deformable insertion portion extending from the operation unit, wherein an operation wire arranged in the hole of a guide tube disposed in the insertion portion is pulled by the operation unit so that the curved portion arranged in the insertion portion can be curved in a desired direction. The operation wire includes a metal core, and a wire containing easily slipping resin fibers spirally wound around the outer circumference of the metal core.
