PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pest control method in which a predetermined amount of a specific pest control aerosol containing an ambient volatile pyrethroid compound is sprayed for treatment in an indoor space to keep the treated space in an atmosphere capable of controlling both flying pests and creeping pests for a long time.
SOLUTION: The pest control aerosol contains: a propellant and an aerosol stock solution containing one or more selected from pyrethroid compounds with vapor pressures at 30°C of 2×10
-4 to 1×10-2 mmHg as a pest controlling ingredient and a 2-3C lower alcohol as a solvent. The ratio of the aerosol stock solution to the propellant is 20-50/50-80 (volume ratio). In the pest control method, the predetermined amount of the pest control aerosol is sprayed for treatment in the indoor space using a metered-dose aerosol valve with a spraying force of &ge3.0 g×f at a spraying distance of 20 cm in order to keep the treated space in an atmosphere capable of controlling both flying pests and creeping pests for 5-12 hours.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
