PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve taking-off/putting-on easiness without mitigating the fitting property.SOLUTION: This underpants type disposable diaper includes vertically and alternately: a dense arrangement areas 81 in which a vertical adjoining interval of auxiliary elastic stretching members 15 and 16 in a body section F is 3-6% of the vertical length of a diaper waist section and a thin arrangement area 80 in which a vertical adjoining interval of auxiliary members is 3-4 times of the vertical adjoining interval of the dense arrangement region. The dense arrangement areas of the body section F are provided near the waist edge in a crotch side closer to the waist edge part and at crotch-side ends of the waist section respectively, and at least one dense arrangement area is provided at an intermediate portion in the vertical direction.
