PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field generator which generates a magnetic field having such a magnetic field distribution as to making the degree of freedom of design higher with respect to a position of a uniform magnetic field space and which uses a high-temperature superconductive bulk magnet, and a magnetic field generating method.SOLUTION: A magnetic field generator 1 comprises a magnetic pole part 2 having a superconductive bulk magnet.
