The invention in general relates to the use of probiotics for the management of functional gastrointestinal disorders. More specifically, the present invention relates to the use of Bacillus coagulans or Bacillus subtilis or a combination of both strains for the prevention or treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders, such as for example functional dyspepsia.
