An implantable medical device (IMD) includes a pressure sensor. The IMD includes a housing, a pressure sensor, and a fluid filled cavity. The housing includes a partition wall exposed to an environment outside the housing. The pressure sensor includes a pressure sensor partition that provides a pressure sensor output signal that is representative of the pressure applied to the pressure sensor partition in response to pressure applied to the pressure sensor partition. The fluid filled cavity is in fluid communication with both the housing septum and the pressure sensor septum of the pressure sensor.
