The invention concerns a LED-based system for the purification of a fluid flowing through a tube, comprising a body for the installation of the system on the tube, a housing, a flexible supporting structure comprising several LED light sources configured to emit radiation in the UV area, where, when the system is installed on the tube, the structure is soluble arranged inside the housing, and the structure inside the housing takes a form that is essentially tubular and the interior of the tubular form defines a purification chamber, whereby the purification chamber is in fluid connection with the pipe so that the fluid flowing through the tube passes before it is dispensed；through the purification chamber where it is exposed to UV radiation from the LED light sources under voltage.
