PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter that can attain an excellent backup property.SOLUTION: A catheter is introduced into and detained in a biological lumen. The catheter in a shape before being introduced into the biological lumen includes a catheter body having a bending part, and a hub. At least part of an outside surface of the catheter body is coated with a surface-lubricating layer 33. The bending part has: an inner bending surface located on an inner side of the bending part and an outer bending surface located on an outer side of the bending part.
