PURPOSE: A temperature control device of an aquarium capable of keeping the aquarium warm and a control method thereof are provided to make installation of a heater unnecessary and to reduce aquarium maintenance cost according to installation of the heater. CONSTITUTION: A temperature control device of an aquarium comprises: a temperature controller(1) which is installed to one side of an aquarium and controls the temperature of water circulating through a hose； a compressor(10) which is installed inside the temperature controller and through which high pressure and high temperature refrigerant is discharged； a first heat exchanger(20) and an expansion valve(30)； and a second heat exchanger(40) heat-exchanging circulation refrigerant with the water circulating through the hose.본 발명은 활어 수족관의 사계절 온도조절장치 및 제어방법에 관한 것으로서, 냉동기의 냉매 사이클 제어를 통해 여름철 뿐만 아니라 겨울철에도 별도의 히터를 설치하지 않고도 수족관의 온도를 최적의 온도로 유지시킬 수 있도록 하기 위한 것이다.이를 실현하기 위한 본 발명은, 수족관(100)의 일측에는 호스(101,102)를 통해 순환되어지는 물의 온도 조절을 위한 온도조절장치(1)가 장착되어지되, 상기 온도조절장치(1) 내부에는 고온고압의 냉매가 토출되어지는 압축기(10)와, 순환냉매를 외기와 열교환시키기 위한 제1열교환기(20)와, 팽창밸브(30) 그리고 순환냉매를 상기 호스를 통해 순환되는 물과 열교환 시키기 위한 제2열교환(40)기가 구성되어져 있어 수족관내의 수온을 일정 범위로 유지시키게 되는 활어 보관용 수족관에 있어서, 상기 온도조절장치(1)에는 냉매의 순환 사이클을 정,역 변환 제어하기 위해 다수의 냉매유로를 구비하고 있는 제어밸브가 장착 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.
