To provide a fishing rod configured such that a step difference is hard to occur between a reel seat and itself and abnormal noise due to adhesives for fixing a grip and a reel seat is hard to occur when a ring member is attached to a grip fixed to a base rod.SOLUTION: A fishing rod of the present invention includes: a grip 5 press fitted and adhesively fixed to a base rod, and a reel seat 10； and a ring member 35 externally fitted to a small diameter part 5a formed in an end of the grip 5 at a position adjacent to an end of the reel seat 10.
