The invention relates to electrochemical biosensor (ECB) which comprises graphene oxide-polycarbonate track-etched (GO-PCTE) nanosieve platform for the rapid and sensitive detection of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1) envelope glycoprotein (gp 140MS). The present invention particularly relates to Graphene oxide-polycarbonate track-etched (GO-PCTE) nanosieve platform for sensitive detection of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1) envelope glycoprotein (gpl40Ms)- This platform having solid-state nanopores, helps in sensing the desired bio-analytes through ion trafficking across the nanoporous membranes.
