The present invention relates to a repellent and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to a repellent which is manufactured by processing a neem cake, which is a residue after obtaining oil from a neem fruit, with a wood tar solution to effectively combat harmful wildlife animals, birds, insects, bugs, and the like； and to a manufacturing method of the repellent. The repellent manufactured according to the method of the present invention is harmless to the human body, is environmentally friendly because of not generating environmental pollutants, and has an excellent effect to effectively combat harmful wildlife animals, birds, insects, bugs and the like by simply spraying in a desired place.본 발명은 기피제(repellent) 및 이의 제조 방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 구체적으로는, 님(neem) 열매로부터 오일을 수득한 후의 찌꺼기인 님 케이크(neem cake)를 목 타르(wood tar) 액과 함께 가공하여 제조되는 유해 야생 동물, 조류, 곤충, 벌레 등을 효과적으로 퇴치할 수 있는 기피제 및 그 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 제조 방법에 따라 제조되는 기피제는 인체에 무해하며, 환경 오염 성분을 발생시키지 않아 친환경적이며, 원하는 장소에 간단히 살포하는 것으로 유해 야생 동물, 조류, 곤충, 벌레 등을 효과적으로 퇴치할 수 있는 우수한 효과가 있다.
