PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for ameliorating morphologic change of a keratinous layer accompanied with cornification sthenia as observed at an elbow portion and a heel portion without feeling of stimulation.SOLUTION: As the means, (1) urea and (2) trehalose are added to an emulsion type cosmetic material. The mass ratio of urea and trehalose is preferably 1:2-50:1. The content of urea is preferably 0.05-20 mass%. The sum total of fatty acid triglyceride and a fatty acid ester with a monohydric alcohol is preferably &le10 mass% based on the total amount of the cosmetic material.
