A drip chamber for an infusion tube, comprising: a first end (106) that includes a drip tube (108)； a second end (110) that includes an output port (112)； a wall (114): connecting the first and second ends； and further characterized in that it includes an inner surface (116) with a hydrophobic portion (118)； and, a space (122) enclosed by the inner wall and the first and second ends, in which: the hydrophobic portion of the inner surface is a hydrophobic coating that repels the liquid that comes into contact with the hydrophobic coating； and, the hydrophobic portion of the inner surface allows light to be reflected through the hydrophobic portion and the wall in the same manner as is the case when the hydrophobic portion is not present on the inner surface.Una cámara de goteo para un tubo de infusión, que comprende: un primer extremo (106) que incluye un tubo (108) de goteo； un segundo extremo (110) que incluye un puerto (112) de salida； una pared (114): que conecta el primer y segundo extremos； y además caracterizada porque incluye una superficie (116) interior con una porción (118) hidrófoba； y, un espacio (122) encerrado por la pared interior y el primer y segundo extremos, en el que: la porción hidrófoba de la superficie interior es un revestimiento hidrófobo que repele el líquido que entra en contacto con el revestimiento hidrófobo； y, la porción hidrófoba de la superficie interior permite que la luz se refleje a través de la parte hidrófoba y la pared de la misma manera que es el caso cuando la porción hidrófoba no está presente en la superficie interior.
