PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel battery arranged to be able to prevent catalyst in an air electrode from being poisoned by contaminants in an oxidant even after a long-time operation, and hard to worsen a power generation performance.SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel battery comprises unit cells. Each of the unit cells has: a solid electrolytic layer, a fuel electrode, and an air electrode. The solid oxide fuel battery comprises: an oxidant gas-supplying inlet for supplying an oxidant gas to each air electrode; an oxidant gas-discharging outlet for discharging the oxidant gas after being passed through each air electrode; and an oxidant gas room serving as a flow path of the oxidant gas extending from the oxidant gas-supplying inlet to the oxidant gas-discharging outlet. Further, the solid oxide fuel battery has a contaminant-trapping layer for adsorbing contaminants included in the oxidant gas which poisons a catalyst in the air electrode. The contaminant-trapping layer is disposed on the side
