PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display circuit for surely informing lowering of battery residual quantity using a booster circuit.
SOLUTION: In this display circuit of a portable endoscope, the voltage from a battery 12 is boosted by a DC/DC converter IC 32, and a current of boosted voltage is supplied to first and second LEDs 14, 16. When the input voltage drops below a predetermined reference voltage due to long-time use of the battery 12, a current of boosted voltage is supplied to a warning LED 34 under the control of a display driving circuit 36. Therefore, as far as the voltage for making the DC/DC converter IC32 operative is supplied to the battery 12, the warning LED 34 emits light with enough luminance to thereby surely inform an operator of a voltage drop of the battery 12.
