A trap for catching insects is disclosed which includes a back housing (12), aframe (14) swing mounted to said housing, and a cover (16) having openings(18) allowing insects to enter the trap. The frame supports one or a pluralityoflights (22) and includes ducting or channels which communicate with the backhousing, the ducting or channels are sealed to prevent water ingress. Theframeand the lights are movable from a first position, where the fame and thelightsoverlie the back housing, to a second position, where the frame and the lightslieclear of the back housing such that an insect catcher (100) fitted over thebackhousing is readily accessible for replacement during servicing.
