According to an embodiment, a lacing system for opening and closing an article includes a tensioning device having a first mode of operation and a second mode of operation, a first tension member that is coupled with the tensioning device and tensionable thereby, and a second tension member that is coupled with the tensioning device and tensionable thereby.
