A medical wound dressing, a method of manufacturing the dressing, and a method of treating wounds using such a dressing. The dressing comprises compression means with a wound-facing face, and at least one compressible wound contact integer which in use lies in contact with the wound bed, characterised in that the wound contact integer comprises a biodegradable porous scaffold which in use lies in contact with the wound bed, and the volume of the integer in an uncompressed state is greater than the volume of the wound void in a rest state, and the dressing comprises compression means for securing the dressing over the wound such that positive pressure (relative to atmospheric pressure) is applied to the porous scaffold and the wound bed, and the scaffold is pressed into intimate contact with the wound bed.La présente invention concerne un pansement médical compressible, un procédé de fabrication du pansement et une méthode de traitement des plaies au moyen dun tel pansement. Le pansement comprend un moyen de compression comportant une face orientée vers la plaie et au moins une partie intégrante en contact avec la plaie qui, en utilisation, se trouve en contact avec le lit de la plaie, ledit pansement étant caractérisé en ce que la partie intégrante en contact avec la plaie comprend une matrice poreuse biodégradable qui, en utilisation, se trouve en contact avec le lit de la plaie, le volume de la partie intégrante dans un état non comprimé étant supérieur au volume de la surface et/ou de la profondeur de la plaie dans un état au repos, et en ce que le pansement comprend un moyen de compression servant à fixer le pansement sur la plaie de sorte quune pression positive (par rapport à la pression atmosphérique) sapplique sur la matrice poreuse et le lit de la plaie, et que la matrice se trouve poussée en contact étroit avec le lit de la plaie.
