An animal body temperature measuring system (1) is provided with: a temperature sensor (100) which is embedded inside the body of an animal, and which transmits a sensed value related to ambient temperature and a personal computer (200) serving as a data processing device which uses a reference body temperature value (500) obtained by taking an actual measurement of the temperature of a site of interest in the animal using a thermometer different from the temperature sensor (100), to convert the sensed value received from the temperature sensor (100) into a converted temperature value.
