The present invention corresponds to a novel peptide isolated from the venom of the Conus regularis sea snail. This peptide has been identified as RsXXIVA and characterized in that it has the SEQ.ID.NO.1 and an analgesic activity exerted over mammals. Likewise, this peptide may be used for preparing a composition for treating pain, including the method for administering the same, preferably by peripheral ways. The present invention includes methods for inducing analgesia in mammals and/or treating pain of pathologies, using the RsXXIVA peptide and/or synthetic peptide and/or recombinant peptide and/or a composition of any peptide presenting at least the SEQ.ID.NO.1.La presente invención corresponde a un nuevo péptido aislado del veneno proveniente del caracol marino Conus regularis. Este péptido se identificó como RsXXIVA y se caracteriza porque tiene la SEQ.ID.NO.1 y por la actividad analgésica que tiene sobre mamíferos. Asimismo, este péptido puede ser empleado para la preparación de una composición para el tratamiento de dolor, incluyendo el método de administración preferentemente por vías periféricas. La presente invención incluye métodos para inducir analgesia en mamíferos y/o tratar el dolor de patologías, utilizando el péptido RsXXIVA y/o péptido sintético y/o recombinante y/o una composición de cualesquiera que, presenten al menos la SEQ.ID.NO.1.
