PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable absorbent article excellent in operability of a joint piece.

SOLUTION: The disposable absorbent article is formed into a shorts shape by engaging one planar fastener part 23 of a back side part around a waist with another planar fastener part of an abdominal side part around the waist in an absorbent article body 12. Each of both side parts of the back side part around the waist of the absorbent article body 12 is provided with a joint piece 25 having the planar fastener part 23 and an interval holding piece 24. The joint piece 25 is integrally provided with a base part 27, a bendable extension part 28, and a pickup part 29 successively, the extension part 28 is in a bent state, and the interval holding piece 24 is disposed on an inner part of the pickup part 29 on the front end side from the other planar fastener part 23. Since a gap can be provided between the base part 27 and the pickup part 29 by the interval holding piece 24, it is easy to pick up the pickup part 29 and operability of the joint piece 25 is excellent.
