PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collagen peptide-containing beverage providing excellent texture when drunk at room temperature or by being cooled, and having high effects for ameliorating skin condition.
SOLUTION: The collagen peptide-containing beverage contains 25% (w/v) or more of the collagen peptide having an average molecular weight of not more than 1,200, and has a liquid viscosity at the room temperature within the range of 10-35 mPa s, and a liquid viscosity at 4°C within the range of 20-50 mPa s. As a result, both of the texture and the effects are provided. The flavor and the effects can be heightened more by adding proline, lysine, ornithine, and &alpha-cyclodextrin thereto.
