PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonic imaging apparatus capable of reducing the burden of an operator by allowing an operator to easily grasp a compression state and a fitting state of a reference deformable body.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic imaging apparatus detects a boundary between a reference deformable body fitted to an ultrasonic probe and an analyte in an ultrasonic image, calculates at least one of a compression proper range and an initial position at the time when the ultrasonic probe presses the analyte on the basis of at least one of thickness and elastic characteristics of the reference deformable body, and sets at least one of a compression line indicating the compression proper range and an initial position line indicating the initial position in a compression direction of the ultrasonic probe in the ultrasonic image.
