PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for knowing correct amounts of ingested saccharides, the device and the method making it possible for a user to properly manage the amounts of ingested saccharides without having to input the amounts and contents of food, thereby decreasing the efforts of the user.SOLUTION: A blood glucose level G due to a subject's ingestion is measured by a blood glucose measurement device 11. An information acquisition unit 22 acquires a variation in the blood glucose level, and a glucose amount estimation unit 23 estimates an ingested glucose amount M based on the variation in the blood glucose level. At the estimation, reference information stored in a storage device 13 is used.
