A repositionable intraluminal support structure and application thereof. An intraluminal support structure includes a strut member that is interconnected by a swivel joint to form a series of coupled scissor mechanisms. This structure can be remotely actuated to compress or expand its shape by adjusting the scissor joint within the range of motion.
