Described are methods of decreasing vascular inflammation in a subject suffering from a chronic autoimmune or chronic inflammatory disease by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of VB-201, wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 20 mg/day to about 160 mg/day, optionally administered in two daily sub-doses. Also described are methods of treating inflammation associated with an implant (e.g., a breast implant) in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of VB-201, wherein the therapeutically effective amount is from about 20 mg/day to about 160 mg/day, optionally administered in two daily sub-doses.
