PURPOSE: A stabilizer and an insect catcher using the same are provided to drastically enhance capturing rate by considering characteristics of flying insects. CONSTITUTION: An insect catcher comprises a light trap (12) which flickers with a predetermined flickering period by using a dimming method； and a stabilizer which allures flying insects by adjusting the flickering period as 100-300Hz by using valley fill circuit. The flickering period is 120Hz. The stabilizer comprises a rectification smoothing circuit, a high frequency power generation circuit, a dimming control circuit, and a control unit in which the frequency is remotely changed or in the device. The control unit changes the flickering period according to one of time, place, and capturing object.디밍방식의 안정기 및 이를 사용하는 포충등이 제시된다. 포충등은, 디밍 방식을 이용하여 유인등을 일정 점멸주기로 점멸하는 포충등이며, 상기 점멸 주기를 밸리필(Valley Fill) 회로를 사용하여 100Hz 내지 300Hz 로 조정하여 비래해충을 유인하는 안정기를 포함한다. 이와 같이 구성하여, 비래해충의 특성을 고려하여 포획율을 획기적으로 향상시킬 수 있다.
