PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sweet potato seedling-inserting machine which can plant sweet potato seedlings in a mulching film-covered field, and simultaneously form holes in the mulching film, thereby being capable of saving labors for forming the holes, reducing the sizes of the formed holes as much as possible, and preventing the growth of grasses and the like.SOLUTION: This sweet potato seedling-inserting machine for conveying sweet potato seedlings 50 by a seedling-supplying mechanism 8 to a place near a planting mechanism, gripping the stem end parts by each of a pair of right and left planting tines 12a/12b to take out the seedling, and then vertically swinging the planting tines 12a/12b to insert the planting tines 12a/12b into the field for the planting work, is characterized in that a pair of the right and left planting tines 12a/12b are opened or closed by a tine-opening or closing mechanism 20, have mulching film cutter blades 45, are moved approximately orthogonal to the stem end parts of the seedling in trajectory, when taking out the seedling, and cut the mulching film 55, when planting the seedling.COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT【課題】甘藷苗をマルチフィルムを被覆した圃場に植え込むと同時に、マルチフィルムに孔を開けて、孔を開ける手間を省き、開口孔をできるだけ小さくして、草等が生えることを防止できるようにする。【解決手段】甘藷苗50を苗供給機構8によって植込機構の近傍まで搬送し、茎端部を左右一対の植込爪12a・12bで掴んで苗取を行い、該植込爪12a・12bを上下方向に揺動させ、植込爪12a・12bを圃場に突入させることで、植込み作業を行う甘藷挿苗機において、前記左右一対の植込爪12a・12bは、爪開閉機構20により開閉する構成とするとともに、マルチカッター刃45を備え、植込爪12a・12bの苗取時における軌跡は、茎端部と略直交させ、植え込むときにマルチフィルム55を切断する。【選択図】図2
