SOLUTION: The brush cutter is operated by an operating rod, a cord holder which is rotationally driven at a front end of the operating rod, a cord holder which is held by the cord holder, and a tip of which extends from the cord holder, and rotates together with the cord holder. And a trim cutter for cutting the extra length of the cord. The trim cutter has a front end provided with a cutting edge and a rear end located on the opposite side with respect to the direction in which the cord rotates. The trim cutter has at least one of a notch, a through hole, a recess, and a step at a position facing the area where the cord rotates.
