The units respectively perform at least one of a step in which pulverized pulp is shaped into the absorbent body, a step in which the absorbent body is sandwiched between a first sheet member and a second sheet member and a continuous body of the absorbent main body is formed, a step in which at least a part of a belt element constituting the waist-belt section is produced, a step in which the continuous body of the absorbent main body is severed and the absorbent main body is produced, a step in which a pair of the belt elements are affixed to both end sections of the absorbent main body, a step in which the absorbent main body is folded in two, and the pair of belt elements superpose, a step in which the superposing belt elements are joined at intervals at a to-be-joined portion, and the waist-belt section is produced, and a step in which severing is performed corresponding to the to-be-joined portion for each waist-belt section, and the wearing article is formed.
