This invention presented that the active ingredients of Mesembryanthemum crystallinum were extracted by water, ethanol, methanol, or acetone. These different solvents-extracted extracts derived from Mesembryanthemum crystallinum could attenuate metabolic syndromes, including attenuation of fatty acid liver, reduction of liver-damaged index, inhibition of fat accumulation, promotion of fatty acid metabolism, suppression of obesity, down-regulation of hypertension, and inhibition of hyperlipidemia.冰花(Mesembryanthemum crystallinum),又被稱為水晶冰花。本發明揭露使用不同溶劑(可利用水、乙醇、甲醇或丙酮)來萃取冰花之有效成份,發現這些不同溶劑萃取的冰花萃取物除可改善代謝症候群的症狀,包括抑制脂肪肝發生、降低肝指數、抑制體脂肪堆積、促進脂質代謝、避免肥胖、改善高血壓、改善高血脂。
