The system includes a knit garment worn by an organism adjacent to a pre-set body location, a garment processing device having a processor, and a number of sensors adapted to measure health parameters, at least in part The sensor is knitted integrally with the knit garment, and the knitted fiber sensor includes electrodes adapted to provide ECG data. The system further includes an interface adapted to operably connect at least one external medical device to the garment processing device. The health monitoring system further includes two integrally braided conductive pads that are operatively disposed in close proximity to the skin of the organism being monitored, the conductive pads on each of which are respectively removed.
