The present invention relates to a method for planting a plant on an artificial plant island, which is installed in order to reduce proliferation of green algae and to purify water. More specifically, the artificial plant island, a structure on which a plant is planted, is floated on the water surface of a river, sea, or a lake in order to make shadow on the water surface. Therefore, the artificial plant island inhibits growth of various algae and purifies water by roots of the plant. According to the present invention, a branch of shrub is passed through a floating body to locate the branch under the water in the depth of 30 cm or deeper； and leaves of shrub are located above a body of the floating body.본 발명은 녹조의발생을 줄이고 수질을 정화하기 위한 목적으로 설치하는 인공 식물섬에 식물을 식재하는 방법에 관한 것으로, 좀 더 자세하게는 하천 또는 해안이나 호소의 수면에 식물이 식재된 구조체를 부유시켜 수면에 그늘을 형성하여 각종 조류의 생육을 억제하고 식물 뿌리에 의해 수질을 정화하는 구조체인 인공 식물섬에 식물을 식재하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
